New, and question on swaped thunderbird

I'm new here, so hello, and regards from Poland

I'm fan of '90 fords, at the moment I keep two european Scorpios, one Merkur Scorpio, and Explorer,
but we want to buy something serious ;)  Tomorrow :D  So I urgent need advise:

As you could imagine, 302 in Europe is "a bit" exotic, in Poland - double. Here is nice Thunderbird SC 1989, original 3.8, but after blow out somebody swap in 302 h.o.

I could not identyfing this - what is the source, year and rates for this 5.0 h.o? On these years there are not V8 for thunderbirds, so somebody swap from elder SC? any mustang? maybe this help for id:

this digi dash is from the source, I believe (I dont find it on any thunder sc photos). Thanx in advance for any advice.

(sorry for my English, Im not native)

Re: New, and question on swaped thunderbird

Looks like a late model 5.0 HO motor given the serpentine setup. It could easily be from a mustang. It would probably make around 200-235hp from the factory - depends on the year.

The HO was made between about 1982 and some time mid-early 90's. It would be a safe bet that its in the late end of that range i.e. 1988+

I would suspect that the dash is stock for the thunderbird as the thunderbirds were relatively high end cars compared to mustangs etc.

I agree. Later model for sure and a good looking swap. The upper intake appears to be a 1994 because of the throttle body position. The '94s were curved to the front like the Cobra intake. Here's Boni's pic for anyone who can offer more information.
