    Windsor powered Hilux

This is my Lux. Has a healthy 289 & a tricked up C4 with a 2500 stall. Took 3 months to build so far. Still have a few things on the list to do.

Awesome, wish the top photo was better. I have an '80 F-150 that I'm buiding a 399 stroker for, I also have a '94 extended cab Toyota....... No, I better not, you are a bad influence!

    Re: Windsor powered Hilux

I gotta keep one truck economical, Any guesses as to what that stroker will guzzle with a 750 cfm carb on it? But yeah, I DO! maybe I'll get an older toy and drop one in it , but a 302 stroker of some kind makes more sense. BTW, was surfing through some other threads and saw a good picture of that 289. Beautiful motor. Good job. Bet it's a blast to drive. Can you get it to hook-up, or does it smoke the tires for a day and a half?

    Re: Windsor powered Hilux

Hey. Traction is not a problem. It runs 15" X 295 on the rear. (11 inch). Also I have just fitted a alloy drop tank that holds 160L.

The next thing is fitting the injection of an ED 5.0L with a good CPU. Hope this will improve the torque and smooth out the power.

In what way could the photo be better?

    Cheers 289hilux...

    Re: Windsor powered Hilux

Cool, I was thinking about 11 tires for my truck, so it gives me some idea. I like the big tank idea, too. If it was baffled, it would be perfect, but I'd be afraid of turning over around corners, if not. For some reason, the pixels in the top picture are huge, like you magnified it 10 times,-no detail at all.
