New member so take it easy on me. I have been a ford fan all my life and currently own 3 fords. My newest collection is a 1966 fairlane 500 with a stock 289 and automatic that runs good. I want to tap some information from some of you motor guys as to what you would do if you were looking to rebuild the 289 and add some serious horsepower but no so much as to lose dependability. It will be an occasional driver mainly weekends and cruise ins. My budget is around about 3000.00 tops. let me know your choice if you were building it for yourself on this budget.
