Advice needed on engine combo using Dart 302W aluminium block

Hi there, my name is mark and I am building an early falcon, in which i want to put a tough SBF into.

     Car specs:

     '65 XP Falcon Utility

RRS Strut front end (big brakes, notched towers)

fabricated 4 link coil over rear end, 9 inch diff

    mini tubbed

     possibly roll cage

    Engine requirements:

Supercharged (b&m mini blower or weiand 174)

    EFI

    700hp on E85 fuel

    as light as possible

has to fit under the bonnet

    has to be streetable/drivable

Basically i am considering using a Dart 8.2inch deck height aluminium block, 4.125 inch bore with a 3.5inch crank for 374ci, and i want to use one of the low profile blower kits. ( i really like the noise they make and the instant torque they produce)

what rotating assembly should i use?

what heads should i use?  dont really want to use exotic or hard to find valve train parts...  air flow research?

    thanks for any advice... Mark

Sounds like a very nice build up - got any photos? Do you have a budget for the engine?

As for heads, you will definitely want AFR  185s or 205s (depending on desired hp) or some tickled trick flow heads.

The B&M/weiand may be a stretch to fit easily under bonnet, might need ron morris lowering motor mounts or similar. A kenne belle might be worth looking at too - more efficient than the others.

If you like the torque, you might consider a 408 + blower... not much difference in weight but a tonne more torque.

will 374ci with the dart 8.2 inch block be reliable? is it even possible?

what is the max stroke you can use with an 8.7 inch deck?

when you say 408ci, what block are you talking about?

any links to a ken belle kit?

    thanks, mark

I was thinking about a 351 based stroker (i.e.393 or 408) very little weight difference but a big bump up in capacity.
