Stop by here and say howdy.

I do like this site. Not a lot of people here at one time but the information is golden and there's a whole lot here that I didn't know. Anyone that feels the same is welcome to say howdy back. I've got an old '88 ford E150 that I bought used in '91. It has a 351w, C6, EFI and has become a good and trusted friend. My kids grew up playing in the back as it hauled us all over the states. Great old van but she needs some engine work to keep going. It's in the garage waiting for me.

Here's a pic of the old girl at a vannin in the Carolinas

    And in Flordia

That's not me in the pic. It's a friend of ours.

I look forward to reading the posts here.

    Howdy.

Hows it going! Yeah it can be a bit quiet at times, but then at least all the info is pretty much on topic. Saves searching around.

Nice van, it looks in pretty good nick. Not being from the US, where are the Carolinas?

What's up catfish, I'm from Ohio and have a 02 e150 that has taken us many miles as well... Also have 83 t-bird, and 95 f150. Lots of ford parts lying around.

The Carolinas are in the SouthEastern US. I'll in Georgia myself but we go to N. Carolina to the mountains quite a bit. "Pretty good nick" that's a new one on me. Thanks. Our ol' girl just keeps going. Had to swap out the EGR valve and EVP sensor along with the TPS sensor this past weekend. The EVP had been throwing a code for a while but the TPS just started acting up. Gave me codes 32 and 63 so I swapped 'em both while I was in there. So far so good.

Ohio! I've got a few vanner friends in O-hi-o. I hang out at Vannin.com a lot and the Ohio woods are full of vans! My '88 has been to quite a few van runs over the years. I've upgraded the charging system, swapped the alternator/air pump mount for a '96 model that had a 351in order to run a 160 amp 3G alternator and the better idler pulley arrangement. I needed the alternator because I'm running a radiator from a 460 with twin Taurus cooling fans behind it and a 14" pusher up in front for the A/C condenser. Helps out during the Georgia summer. One Taurus fan is on a engine temp sensor and the other is on a Flex-a-lite variable speed control. The pusher fan keys in via a pressure switch on the A/C high side.

Plans are for an E4OD to replace the C6. I've already got an E4OD that needs rebuilt and I got an ECM from a '94 E250 that should run it and the EFI. Thought about changing to MAF but, since I'm not changing the engine that much, I think I'll wait till after the trans swap and see. I have to work under a budget since I was born smart and so darn good looking instead of rich. ha

Hey guys. I was in Altamont last year for the 36th Van Nationals, along with about a thousand or so of my best friends.

It was nice roaming around there, after I got used to all the straight roads. (ha)

    Good to meet y'all.

Long haul for ya. I hope you enjoyed yourself. My girlfriend is from upstate NY and when her family moved out here years ago she said ,"it's flat. Where are the hills?".

That was quite a change! I'll bet she doesn't miss raking six tons of leaves every fall. ha

Oh,,and that "lake effect" snow in the winter!

She doesn't miss the snow but she did like "playing " in the leaves.
