    302 blowing oil

I've had an Econoline Conversion van with a 302 since 1989. Long about 1992 with only about 3 years on the van I was moving from Ohio to Florida. Multiple hauls through the mountains North to South. On one of the hill climbs, hauling a pretty good trailor load, I noticed my van started blowing raw oil. Been that way ever since.

It's not burning oil, no fouled plugs and the like, just blowing. I tried checking for leaks etc. but nothing conclusive. The old girl's been good to me and I'd like to give her a good going over. Am I looking at a total engine rebuild or am I missing something unique to this motor?

Blowing oil from where? Pipes, PCV/Crank case or from the dipstick?

    Re: 302 blowing oil

It seems to be blowing it right out through the exhaust - raw. No burning?

I was wondering if I had blown valve seals? I've never had quite this problem with an engine before. In researching I read where the oiling on the Windsor was a bit different for the upper rockers. I was wondering if there might be a special seal or valve that might have blown? It happened when I was doing a steep mountain climb pulling a trailor. It's as though something just "popped", and it started blowing oil. I need to get a manual on this engine. I've looked a couple times at the library, but their manuals are incomplete.

Before I just go pulling things apart I was looking for inputs on peculiarities of this engine (from anyone who might know) or I'll just have to research it better on the symptons to point me in the right direction.
