motor breaking down at higher rev

    motor breaking down at higher rev

    The motor is a 302 windsor about 1991 EFI out of a f150. I have a feeling it has something to do with the dizzy. Frustrated.  Supposed to be racing next week end in a GPS comp. Please any advise.

    I'm assuming its probably going to be spark based on you message.

    How old are your plugs and plug leads? If theyre not in good condition it could cause you problems. What are your plugs gapped at? Check the condition of distributor rotor as well, could be a little old in there if it hasnt had a service for a long while.
