    Check out the bores and find out how far it might need to be bored. IF you need to go above 040 then maybe consider a different block   If youre going for a tight budget, sometimes it pays to get the basics right - if theyre not right itll cost much much more. Maybe have it sonic checked if thats cheaper.

    I have a 302 in a CJ7. I was looking at some crate engines and seen that a 351W was just a few bucks more than replacing the early 70's 302. (D1MZ). Is that a e-z swap or am I going to run into bracket and mount issues. On a budget and don't want to spend the extra bucks just to have spend more on modifications or new brackets.   • 351W Harmonic Balancer Question.

    I'm going to get a used Harmonic Balancer off the net and my only question is:Does it matter if the new HB is from a 351w with EFI or not?My truck DOES NOT have EFI!'83 F150 with 351W.   Thanks for your Responses!   You guys have helped alot!

  • Newbie looking for Bolt Diagrams? 351W

    Recently acquired my Dad's old Truck. '83 F150 with a 351W in it. Timing chain was replaced and engine was never put back together. I'm new to V8's and was wondering if there are any bolting diagrams for the Timing Chain Cover ,Water Pump and all the pulleys etc..     Hi everyone, first post, i am currently building a 302 for my XA falcon.  When i got it i pulled it apart and found out the heads were different! So is it fine to run 289 heads on a 302?  What about 351 heads? Thanks
