Maybe you have a clevor or a boss motor (which is a mix of windsor and cleveland motors). Hard to say what youre starting with without more certainty or pics.
Either way as long as its NOT a BOSS or a Clevor, then going back to carb should be simple - just fuel pump, fuel line, carb and maybe intake manifold.

I too plan on building a 351 Clevor. Any info would be helpfull. I have some 4V heads and a 351W block. I believe I will need custom pistons. Going in my 64 Fairlane 500 (see avatar)

thank you for the info. I went through all of them. I was kind of looking for hp numbers.

Hi - no personal experience with clevors, but everything I have heard about them indicates that theyre the best of both the cleveland and windsor worlds. A particularly potent combination are 351 or 408 clevors running CHI 3v heads. The CHI 3v heads are pretty much some of the best heads out there for the ford motors.
Have a look at some of the ...

hello, I'm new to this site. I'm building a 9.2 deck dart windsor block with a set of heavily worked 4v cleveland heads. does anybody around here have any expearence with this type of motor

If you get the right pistons it will work. Off the top of my head I don't know of any pistons that will work in that combo. 351c pistons are slightly taller than the 302 piston, and may work with a 3'' stroke. For a 3.5'' stroke you'll probably have to contact JE or Ross and see about having a set of pistons made. Also if you have ...

First thing to search and try out...
Find a domed 351c piston. The deck height is almost the same as a piston for a 393 (351w) stroker. This will provide adequate valve clearance for the larger valves. A Windsor based piston will not have the proper valve clearance as the Cleveland piston. You will probably need a domed ...

We've just finished putting together a 4.100'' stroke C9 block 351W, CHI 3v headed, EFI motor.
The cam is an X303 with std Ford hyd rollers. All customer supplied parts.
The engine will go regularly to 6000, occasionally to 6800ish.
My question concerns lifter preload. The customers info is that ''tighten down the rockers till the ...
