    You're dead right about the exhaust bumps. They can be ground away to get a decent HP increase for minimal cost. The stock ford heads are pretty easy for even an amateur to improve since theyre fairly restrictive to begin with.  I'd say an 86 motor would be in the vicinity of 9 or 9.5:1 compression. Not sure how many CC's the heads you have ...
