    Check out the bores and find out how far it might need to be bored. IF you need to go above 040 then maybe consider a different block   If youre going for a tight budget, sometimes it pays to get the basics right - if theyre not right itll cost much much more. Maybe have it sonic checked if thats cheaper.

    I have a 302 in a CJ7. I was looking at some crate engines and seen that a 351W was just a few bucks more than replacing the early 70's 302. (D1MZ).
