    guys, I desperately need some tech assistance.  I volunteered my labor to help a friend, and have ended up in a tight spot.  He has a 1994 F150 and his engine went bad.  He found a 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis with low miles and I switched engines for him. I swapped everything over, the oil pan, new oil pump, valve covers, intake, ...

    Depends what youve done with it a little, but SBF's generally like around 32-36 degrees total timing and 12-16 initial. Less initial timing will generally make the car a little easier to start unless youve got a big cam.
