  • 351W distributor gear chewed up

My 1989 351W got screwed up last summer.  Don't know exactly what went on inside.  It was at about 3000 RPMs for about 30 seconds, it backfired a few times then it just died.  After a lot of BS work, we pulled the distributor out and the gear was all chewed up.  I rebuilt the engine this winter and followed the break in ...

  • Re: will a 347 Clevor engine work

If you get the right pistons it will work.  Off the top of my head I don't know of any pistons that will work in that combo.  351c pistons are slightly taller than the 302 piston, and may work with a 3'' stroke.  For a 3.5'' stroke you'll probably have to contact JE or Ross and see about having a set of pistons made. Also if you have ...
